Minority nationalities are well- integrated in the Armenian population. Very strong contacts are maintained with the large number of Armenian emigrants, estimated at some nine million in the USA, France and Syria. 100,000 Armenians who lived in Azerbaijan have been forced to return home since the outbreak of war.
